Dr. David B. Hernandez

Smile Enhancer

Doctor of Dental Surgery

Born and raised near the California Coast, Dr. David Hernandez knew he wanted to some day settle down by a California beach and serve the community.

Dr. Hernandez brings to his practice an extensive array of dental services, such as dentures, dental implants, root canals, oral surgery, and aesthetic dentistry.

Dr. David Hernandez graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. David Hernandez followed in his father's footsteps and pursued his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry where he graduated with multiple accolades accompanying his degree.

After graduating from USC, Dr. David Hernandez completed a one year Advance Education in

General Dentistry Residency in Washington state where he earned the position of Chief Resident due to his skills and empathetic patient care. He has worked in several patient-focused practices prior to joining Dr. Iriff Ulep in Arroyo Grande and is ready to bring that experience to our community. Dr. David Hernandez has also put in many hours of dental continuing education to better serve his patients.

His passion in dentistry centers around connecting with patients to help them rebuild

beautiful, lasting smiles to ensure his patients reach their dental goals.

The most rewarding part of being a dentist for Dr. David Hernandez is making a positive life-changing difference in a patient's self-confidence.

"My most fulfilling moments are seeing those initial reactions after delivery of a new smile and knowing that the patient feels their absolute best. I know that I have helped that patient get to their happiest and, most importantly, healthiest self.”

Beyond the dental office, he and his wife, Dr. Iriff Ulep, enjoy being with family and friends. They also love spending their free time with their two dogs, Koda and Milo, walking around local events, and exploring all the Central Coast has to offer.
